Getting to know our club
Westfield Junior Development Badminton Club, is a badminton club, which was established in 2001. The club was recently proud to announce that it achieved the prestigious “Clubmark “status. The club is part of The Sheffield Performance Centre, as one of a number of clubs working with the SPC to develop badminton and offer the highest standard of coaching to all players.
Westfield Junior Development Badminton Club offers coaching lessons to a variety of ages and abilities sessions vary from absolute beginners, who then with experience could have the opportunity to train with those who have achieved county player status.
The aim of the club is to provide a positive, fun and safe environment for young players to experience and learn Badminton, some will be first time novices and others could be those who have been playing for a number of years.
The club consists of over 100 junior players, and 10 coaches, some level one coaches and some level two, the club also has a “Primary Links Badminton Coach”. This individual works for the club, and delivers badminton to pupils in surrounding primary and secondary schools associated to the club. This helps develop a secure pathway from which school players can progress to club level.

Hello,
I am 15, live in chesterfield and very keen on badminton and play a hell of a lot. I am getting to the point now where playing with family and friends is not enough. I want a challenge and i want to go somewhere, where i will be entered into competitions and matches and get the opportunities to excel and go further in badminton. I was just wondering if my hopes and dreams could be full filled at this club?

Hello, you are more than welcome to come down to the club, the sessions are on a tuesday, the first session is 5.00-6.00 and the second session is 6.00-7.30 the first session is £2 and the second is £2.50 the session is held at Westfield Sports College Eckington Road Sothal, Sheffield, S20 1HQ, look forwward to seeing you
